Pivotal Takeover: a festival of the environment, community & tech

  • Cambridge Museum of Technology (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Pivotal continues, with a small-scale, home-made, collaborative festival this November!

Pivotal, in collaboration with our friends Cambridge Carbon Footprint, Transition Cambridge, and Friends of the Earth Cambridge, are taking over the Museum of Technology on Cambridge's riverside, for a night and a day on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th November.

We aim to keep the conversations going, and have chosen this iconic venue to highlight the link between the environment and technology, with us, the human community, the piece in-between. We are partnering with these 3 great fellow NGO's to highlight the great work we all do, and share our common goals. We're working on bringing you a festival that takes over the museum with films, conversations and maybe provocations, spoken word and some story-making, music, art, food and drink, and lots this space!

And in the meantime, please help us raise some funding to get the festival going: please pledge for our crowd-funding campaign on and share the page!

True Tales of Change

We've teamed up with Cambridge Storytellers and Allographic for this evening of true tales told live. Professional storytellers, including Glenys Newton, who gave up a career as a social worker to become an itinerant storyteller, will join remarkable people from many different backgrounds and life experiences to tell the stories of moments when their lives changed forever.

Includes open mic opportunity; a chance to share your own story of change.

Tickets: £6.50/£5.00. Click here to buy from Eventbrite.
